Was a very busy place! The food came out hot and delicious! The beers were ice cold! The new ownership was very friendly and inviting! Give this place a try if you want. good food and a great view!
What a great way to spend our Saturday afternoon! The place was extremely busy but the food was absolutely worth the wait! You're on Island time so just relax and enjoy the ice cold beers and the beautiful view. The bartender was on her game and was multitasking like a pro. This will be our first stop next time we are in town.
Stopped going due to rude service especially from previous owner himself. Recently heard they are under new ownership(same staff though). I like the new changes with cheaper cover charge, the daily food where they actually utilize their potential. Have not dined in but plan on it soon as I follow the new developments. Maybe karaoke at some point and perhaps some better leadership will encourage staff to appreciate their patronage. Looking forward to seeing this develop and recommend giving this place a second or third chance given the positive responses from new owners.
The Fill In Station is a fun experience. The facade is simple. The parking is limited. I was so happy we were able to park. Thursday after 5:00, they served Pork Chop with the bone fried that was delicious . It came with gravy, too. Plus, mashed potatoes and tasty string beans. You had a choice of beer or an alcohol beverage, which was included with the meal . The meal with a drink was $10.00. It was amazing. The view of the water was Heavenly. There was plenty of seating outdoors. If you wanted to sit indoors, that would have to be at the bar only. A very relaxed setup. On Wednesday, for $10.00 is Hamburger night with a beer, etc.I will definitely return . P.S. not a place for kids or wheelchairs.
Coldest beer I've ever had! Food was delicious and our bartender was fantastic! Love this place! Definitely will be returning next trip to Beaufort!
Been coming here for years, love our bartenders and Roger's cooking. Val & Button are always on point. The atmosphere has changed though - it's no longer the dive bar we loved. People are bringing their kids here now and it's odd.. kids at a dive bar? Suddenly Seeing negative reviews because people think they know better. When it's Pork chop night, it's Pork chop night. When there's Redfish & Grits or Shrimp & grits for lunch, then that's what's on. Not every kitchen is built the same, and it's certainly not a chain restaurant. If you want Sysco, go somewhere else.
We brought some friends here for lunch who were visiting from Texas. I warned them before hand that the place looked like it would be a bit of dump but the food was great and it was! 3 of us had the fried shrimp basket and 1 had fish and chips. The qualities were huge and all the food was fried to perfection. If you sit outside you order at a window and you get a buzzer that goes off when your food is ready. We sat out on the patio and had a great view. We were all very happy with lunch!
